After graduating from Nihon University School of Medicine and obtaining a doctoral degree (Mh.D), he served as Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery Outpatient Department at Nihon University School of Medicine and Head of Surgery at Tsudanuma Central General Hospital. Subsequently, he worked as a clinical physician specializing in dendritic cell therapy for cancer treatment at a cancer immunotherapy clinic in Tokyo, and after serving as director of a membership-based comprehensive medical checkup facility, he is now Director of THE PREVENTION CLINIC TOKYO, where he is engaged in treatments incorporating cancer immunotherapy and recurrence prevention.

Harufumi Kato

Known as the pioneer of photodynamic therapy (PDT) for early lung cancer and a leading authority in cellular medicine. Served as Professor and Chair of the First Department of Surgery and Vice President at Tokyo Medical University, and was also active as Director of the Clinical Proteome Center. He has served as President of the International Academy of Cytology and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, as well as Chairman of the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology and President of the Annual Meeting of the Japan Lung Cancer Society. He has received numerous awards both domestically and internationally, beginning with the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology Award in 1986, as well as many international honors. After graduating from Tokyo Medical University, he pursued graduate studies there and also studied abroad at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

Chief Advisor for MRI Image Analysis Taro Takahara

Devised the whole-body MRI “DWIBS method (Diffusion-Weighted Whole Body Imaging with Background Body Signal Suppression).” Successfully achieved the world’s first visualization of peripheral nerves, published in the medical journal “NEJM.”

After graduating from Akita University School of Medicine, published a textbook on MRI (MRI Freely and Easily) as a radiologist.
In 2004, attracted attention for devising whole-body MRI (DWIBS method) and was invited to Utrecht University in the Netherlands. His original paper has been cited over 1,000 times.
Worked for four years as a full staff member and visiting associate professor for ultra-high-field (7 Tesla) MRI.
In 2009, succeeded in the world’s first whole-body MR-neurography imaging and was published in New England Journal of Medicine.
Returned to Japan in 2010 and assumed current position. In recent years, devised “painless MRI breast cancer screening” (DWIBS Search) using the DWIBS method and established a venture company.

Yasufumi Murakami

Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo, and completed the doctoral program at its Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences). After working at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and RIKEN, he became Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science in 1999. Specializing in drug discovery science, molecular biology, and immunology, he has led research spanning from basic science to clinical application for many years. Starting from tumor virus research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he has consistently promoted the exploration of therapeutic target molecules, development of antibody production technologies, and research and development of antibody drugs. He has world-leading achievements in diagnostic and therapeutic antibody fields, including approximately 700 types of research reagent antibodies. Conducts broad research in regenerative medicine, drug discovery science, molecular biology, and immunology.

Toshihiko Shimizu

A leading authority in headache treatment.
